Re: B&K AVR 307 or others? Boston DT7000?

I was not impressed with the B&K 307 (sorry, just my opinion). Instead, I am currently using a Denon AVR5800 with Vienna Acoustics Beethoven speakers, rated at 4 ohms, with no problem. In the Denon user's manual is the following note:

"The protector circuit may be activated if the set is played for long periods of time at high volumes when speakers with an impedance lower than the specified impedance (for example speakers with an impedance of lower than 4 ohms) are connected. If the protector circuit is activated, the speaker output is cut off. Turn off the set's power, wait for the set to cool down, improve the ventilation around the ser, then turn the power back on."

The specifications list a dynamic power output of 310 watts into 4 ohms in stereo. I suspect you MIGHT have problems trying to drive all seven channels into 4 ohms at high volume simultaneously. My guess is that you'd be consulting with an otologist for hearing loss long before this happened though.
