27" or 32" HDTV?

I'd like to buy an HDTV, but I don't want a floor standing monstrosity. My entertainment center has an opening aproxamately 33" w x 35" high and about 20" deep (but it is strong enough to hold extensive weight).
Does anybody make, or is anyone about to introduce an HDTV set that will fit into that opening. A 36" or larger would completely dominate my living room, and I live for music, not movies.
