On some DPL processors, the center channel has a bass rolloff at about 100Hz. This is call the "normal" mode, but really should be called the "standard" mode because so many processors default to this mode (or only have this mode). The two other modes are for 1) no center channel and for 2) a full range center channel (or a center channel with its own subwoofer for bass frequencies) which is called "wide" mode (as in a "wide" frequency response).
