I know that some of the sony WEGA's have this feature, and some of the panasonic sets also have the squeeze mode. Do any others offer this enhancement or is it coming in the new models of any make? It's high time I make the plunge with a new set, but I'm not sure if I want to go all the way to HDTV yet. Whatever set I do go for definitely has to have the 16:9 feature though.
My current set is a 32" sony which is about 6 years old. It's got a fine picture but only has one video input (composite only). Right now I'm running 3 components through a manual switchbox. I'd like to see how good dvd can be with component inputs and be able to do video switching with my tv. Looking at 36"ers and now it looks like the WEGA's are the only sets that offer the 16:9 squeeze without going all the way up to HDTV.
any help would be appreciated...
