Betacam...SP V/Tape O/K to use in BetaMovie Video Cam/Corder ?

Can any one advise me if it is alright to use Betacam/SP beta size video Tapes in my ancient old Sony BetaMovie Cam/corder?
Also any useful Tips/Cautions...! would be useful.
