Sony DVP S-530D. Will it play DVDs from Russia?

I have heard that there are some "zones" in DVDs. I have no idea what they are. I wanted to ask for some Russian movies on DVDs, but not sure if this Sony DVD player will show them.
Any info is greatly appreciated.
