my dealer uses it as his CDP.Although, it's a tiny shop. He only carries Sunfire, MacIntosh, Yamaha, ADCOM, and Marantz (of course) for components. (The NAD dealer burned them by going to the now defunct `WIZ' & they refuse to re-aquire.) He's presently trying to convince the owner to carry SonicFrontiers. You see, he's an audiophile whereas the owner (who runs the adjoining organ&piano store) is into production, not reproduction. My dealer is sort of a defacto-`buyer'. He's been in the `biz' for decades now. I bought some of my better stuff from him in one store or another over the years. He not only knows sound, but what will sell in our area. His latest nuiscence was keeping some B&W 800s & Velodyne HGS&FSRs in the store. It seems as though the sell just as soon as they're about to break-in. I have to visit frequently in order to hear stuff, because half the stuff I want to hear will be sold before I arrive.
If however you're asking about a DVD video quality, I'm not the one to ask. I much prefer LDs @ this point. I'll wait until they develop a column-doubler in addition to line-doubler (to remove alliasing;stairwelling;jaggies) & upgrade the process expander upto the refresh rate (to remove frame dropage), or make HDVDs which ever comes first.
