My experience with the 7700 has been nothing but the most positive. I like the front panel closing over the tray. Keeps it clean. The picture quality is great. Letterbox looks great. I can't tell you how it compares to other transports but so far so good. The remote is fine & the slow mo does the job. Ive been using the CD lens for all my stereo listening but I plan on in house comparisons to a couple of Cal CD players.. I use the DAC in my B&K ref20 but the DAC in the 7700 sounds pretty smooth. Component Out is a must if your monitor supports it! Good luck!
