I use a pair on my queen size adjustable bed in a bedroom based HT. I have constructed two 2'x4x¾" platforms and fitted them with isolation feet from Kinetics Noise Control. Each platform supports 2 bed frame legs.My first experience with tactile transducers was an array of 8 RBH units. (ultra high performance Aura's) I then moved up to a pair of Clark Synthesis 329F's. I replaced the 329's with Platinum models when they made their debut.
The Clarks are exceptional units and a large performance improvement above the RBH's. But when it comes to low frequency extension and output the BK has no peers. The are very dynamic, tight and detailed.
They are so capable of prodcing low frequencies I use a pair of subharmonic synthesizers on them. An Audio Control PCA generates signals 1 octave below and a Behringer EX1200 generates signals 2 octaves below the original.
I use a Paradigm X-30 to sum the signals before feeding a pair of Carvin DCM1000 amplifiers. I supply the synthesizers from the LFE output of a Parasound AVC-2500 pre/pro.
If you want to add some very serious tactile energy to your HT I would highly recommend the Buttkicker!
