Keith,Ahhh... The Phantom Center.
As long as you're one person, sitting in the sweet spot, I'm not surprised that you prefer the results without a CC.
You've highlighted a problem with integrating CCs into the Direct-View or RPTV setup, the location of the CC isn't optimal vs the Front L/R.
The intent of the center is to anchor dialog to the screen, and off-center, the use of a CC does exactly that.
