Wow In Hong Kong we hve 2 prices.
1. Originals cost apprx US$23.00 per title.
2. Pirated versions of: US$2.00 per title!
A. newest cinema releases - Quality Equiv. to Good VHS Version.
B. DVD Quality new releases.
C. Cinema Qlty - filmed in cinemas, you'll hear 3D Voices, see
bopping up and down.etc.
(Maybe I can get a mail order online shop going!!!) Only joking... pirated versions may damage the speakers b/c the signal isnt clean.Overall , I think the DVD prices will fall, as the DVD production itself matures.
FYI, the original DVD price of Gladiators is US$25.00 (in H.K)
the original VCD price if Gladiators is US$7.00 Since they are both from the same company and should have the same royalty payments. Assuming on this, the cost of the DVD material should fall at least another US$10.00.
