Re: HDTV Digital to analog converters exist?

208.40.136.195

Absolutely! It is the real deal...It is a pure digital picture with no noise or grain. Digital cable is fine on the upper channels but the lower ones are not changed. Even the upper channels suffer from lack of resolution.(flat looking) The satelite providers are compressing their digital signal which degrades some of thier pictures. OTA digital is as good as it gets. Even though you do not have HD you could upgrade all your local channels with OTA. That is providing they are transmitting digitally which they are mandated to do in the near future. It is not the analog signal that is the culprit...it is the source of the signal that degrades it. If you are able to pull in a signal & have a HD STB...you will improve your picture dramatically unless you are one of the lucky ones who already have a great cable picture.
