Which sub are you going to be using?
If you wire with both the sub MUST have switching or you will be driving the sub with two inputs at the same time. I can't say how the sub will react if there is no input switching and it gets two input signals at the same time. The only sub I know of that allows this type of connection is a Rel. I would think the sub's manual is streching the truth if to says the main amp will not see a load. The main amp will see a very high impeadance load. Not a big deal, just thought I would add my 2 cents and clairfy this statement.
