The Tv may be sending out infra-red signals to it's own remote control... and THOSE signals are affecting you amp. (this assumes the amp has an infrared sensor) My JVC VHS remote sends and gets signals from the VCR. Your new TV may be doing the same. Check in the TV manual and see if the remote receives any signals from the TV? I bet that is the problem.. not "Evil Gremlins".
