All the ones I've seen do, but I don't know if they _all_ do for sure, but I think the answer is yes.Sony makes a 36" widescreen? I thought I had their smallest one... It's called 51". I wish I had heard of the 36" one (at least on this side of the pond), or maybe I did and forget, but I sure never saw it. Anyway, I'm not the best one to ask about this, because I specifically went looking for good DVD performance with WS movies, and didn't pay a huge attention to other stuff once I got my own priorities straightened out.

Since it's the vertical height of your TV picture that is the limiting issue, and assuming things are perfect and aspect ratio is maintained, you could try calculating it for a rough idea. I did and it comes out to a ~30" 4:3 screen, about the same as the Proton.Yeah, I don't mind the horizontal black bars so much on my smaller screen TV, but for some reason the vertical ones get to me. I do know certain video artifacts bother me, ones that others hardly even notice.
