I suggest you check out the available online info/trouble reports re the Sony KP-57HW40. Just about everything I read, and the dealers who sold both, recommended the 51HW40 instead (it's what I ended up with), even thought the 57 cost only ~$100 more. There's a reason for that I guess. So if you want the larger size, go for the Toshiba, but the 57HW40 is probably best avoided for now. I'm guessing somebody tried to "extend" the 51 to 57 cheaply, and it didn't happen too well, but most problems happen well within the waranty period, though ongoing adjustments seem necessary.
