Not a Costner fanboy nor a Western fanboy but this one is causing a re-evaluation.

This was a historical narrative (as such) that marched forward using different stories to draw you in. It jumps from location to location with an ensemble cast that may pass or recircle as time passes. Costner himself is in maybe 1/3 of the film. The film has epic proportions and Costner would have it no other way.

This is a film you hate to see end. I wanted it to go on and on.

BPOY material. Awards to accumulate.
