If you are watching The Gentlemen and do not have an Atmos setup (including height speakers), you aren't hearing Atmos. You're hearing Dolby Digital+ while watching a series that may be well recorded (I haven't heard it).

I do not have an Atmos system (just 5.2), but if I stream Atmos material from my Apple TV+ 4K device, my AVR reads "Dolby Atmos." The sound is no different than if I turn off Atmos in the Apple device--and then the AVR dial shows Dolby Digital+.
