Now I know why the venom. It is a "toned-down" version of a popular cult novel. It is light entertainment--and amusing at that.
Follow Ups:
She was kinda OK twenty years ago, today she is a sore sight. As you recall, there were some far superior bodies... well displayed too.The problem with the film is that the characters are pretty much all pigs - just different shades of that. And I usually don't find such characters entertaining - I usually want to see some human qualities. Because just the life of pigs is not in itself something that deserves screen time, in my view. Humans that live like pigs due to some circumstances - perhaps, but there was precious little, if anything of that in the movie. Humans that are pigs by their won choice are not a very deep subject.
The main characters starts as a low life, and he ends up on the same note... just more sex in between.
