I thought director Earl Morris gave McNamara a pass on the Viet Nam era.The early Curtis LeMay WWII material was new to me and, thus, fascinating. So was the Ford Motor Co. stuff.
McNamara, himself, struck me as an egotistical guy trying to hide the fact. He certainly doesn't see himself as others do; hence, the personality disorder which is so readily apparent in him. He's desparately trying to cleanse himself of the Viet Nam stain. He's a shrewdie but, ultimately, a pathetic guy.
Well worth seeing. It'll probably be on PBS at some time in the near future.
