I found the film fascinating, but a little toooo long. Instead of eleven principles, about nine was all I needed!I see the movie as the other commentators here. McNamara didn't own upon to the Vietnam war--admittedly, he may have signed an "early" warning to exit that war--after 25,000+ Americans had died!--but I got the impression that McNamara shifted the blame largely on Johnson. Was this McNamara AND the film editing, or just McNamara?
The WW2 material was sobering, esp. the remark that LeMay made, to the fact that had the U.S. lost the war, U.S. military officers would have been tried as war criminals for fire-bombing Japanese civilians.
