Couldn't agree more, Rico, top-shelf stuff.Much like Lonesome Dove is at the top of my Westerns list, even though it was made for television (usually a bad thing)...BoB is at the top of my war films list.
Also agree about the first episode...David Schwimmer from Friends just didn't come across for me as the ambitious but idiotic commanding officer...but it was sure easy to hate him.
The Battle of the Bulge episodes are truly horrific...this has always been my pick for the WORST campaign EVER to have been a modern American Soldier...freezing cold, no shelter, no food/medical supplies, low on ammo, surrounded by the enemy...it jut doesn't get any better than that!
I also enjoy the begining interviews with real veterans of the 101st Airborne...it's great the way that don't like to admit that Patton's Third Army "rescued" them..."We're Airborne, we're suppoed to be surrounded."
Again, very well done.
Thanks,

the nice touch of starting each episode with the real life remembrances of actual veteran participants. Thanks for pointing that out.
