Just saw it on DVD. I didn't expect much when I rented it thinking it was just another action movie but the two thumbs way up on the DVD cover had me curious. Also I didn't realize that the director was David Mamet whose only moive I saw previously was Spanish Prisoner which I thought it was good.Great movie. Love the gradual revelation of the plot that the viewers have to figure out what the hell was happenning.
Follow Ups:
hey, i'm a big fan of david mamet's films. lately it seems like he's been forcing a lot of the twists and surprises in him films, but i'm always a sucker for a smart film about con games.
"HEY" - BIG A
I have many mamet films in my collection. My favorite is "Homicide",
with Joe Montegna, William H. Macy, and the usual Mamet regulars. I put this one on a level with "Chinatown".
