BTW, the remake, or perhaps I should say THIS remake is supposed to be very faithful to the original in terms of period and theme. Yes, Fay Wray will be missed. Wray was perhaps the last great STAR of silent cinema as well. Half a dozen years before her brief fling with the stop-motion gorilla on the Empire State building she was the romantic lead in The Wedding March, one of legendary auteur Director Eric Von Stroheim's opulent epics.
