West Texas was beautifully photographed in the movie. I'm a native Texan, living in Plano, but having attending college many years ago in Texas Tech, I journeyed through West Texas on many occasions.

I really thought Billy Bob was not only the appropriate choice, but did a great job. Football movies are so often "over the top"--I felt like this movie had a realism to it.

Tim McGraw's performance, as well as Dwight Yoaqum's in Slingblade, proves that country music stars make great rednecks.
