Saw it in theaters months ago. What's your take on the Al Jazeera journalist killed in Baghdad? I thought it was fishy at the time and I still do even more sytonly after seeing this film.
The US information officer in this doc was a good guy, obviously struggling with trying to be fair and doing "the right thing". He became almost the center of the film for me.
OTOH, it was fascinating to observe that the Al Jazeera journalists admired the US in many ways, and, in fact, quite a few would seize the oportunity to live & workd here, and send their children to school here. The journalists believe in American ideals, they just don't buy American bullshit.
Follow Ups:
another Arab television station. Therefore, I doubt the guy committed suicide. He looked sacared, like maybe he was afraid of dying?Especially with the bogus speak from the US, "He was killed during the engagement". Like, not by anyone in particular, just, somehow killed.
