Howard Keel, one of the finest singers and most charasmatic actors in the MGM stable of the late 1940s and 1950s has died of cancer at 86.Mr. Keel is well known for his starring roles in many top MGM musicals: Kiss Me Kate, Showboat, Kismet, and the classic Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He also starred on Broadway and, in the 1980s, in the television soap DALLAS.
