Ain't it sad?
You will never-ever see a new Kubrick film.
Although I'm just a no-body film buff....I miss this mans' presence on the planet. It was always exciting as hell waiting to see a new Kubrick picture, even if it sucked (E.W. Shut).Wish he could have made his film of Napoleon .
Also, HIS version of A.I., would've been more interesting than Spielbergs.
Only Stanley Kubrick could make a scene of people lighting a cigarette interesting to watch.Gone forever. I'm bummed.
Follow Ups:
He had the incredible talent to take an ordinary event or one that had nbeen filmed ad nauseum and make something new out of it. Also, his work is pure cinema, much of it silent.I posted here recently that Martin Scorcese in his documantery "A Personal Journey Through American Film" says. "We are all children of Griffiths and Kubrick".
