Surely you must be kidding or trolling. Eastwood IMHO is one of the finest directors in the history of cinema and is well repected by most in the industry and most critics.

"Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" is Eastwood's 20th film as a director, following recent box-office hits such as "Absolute Power," "The Bridges of Madison County" (for which Meryl Streep won a Best Actress nomination), "A Perfect World," with Kevin Costner, and "Unforgiven" (which won Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor and Best Editor).Eastwood's extensive directorial credits also include "Play Misty For Me" (his first directorial assignment), "High Plains Drifter," "Breezy," "The Eiger Sanction," "The Outlaw, Josey Wales," "The Gauntlet," "Bronco Billy," "Firefox," "Honkytonk Man," "Sudden Impact," "Pale Rider," "Heartbreak Ridge," "Bird," "White Hunter, Black Heart" and "The Rookie."
Except for Unforgiven. The acting is ALWAYS over the top, and the staging looks like a high school play. Close ups that scare the audience. Your homage to Clint is undoubtedly appreciated by Mr. Eastwood, but keep the trolling allegations to yourself.
