Probably the last film I'm getting from the video store this trip.It starts out not so good. I was missing Hollywood style with a litle more perfection in the scenes.
But once they hit the water, the director seems to know what to do.
But it takes a little while before the impact of the situation really settles in. About as long as the couple in the water take to realize that they really are stranded.
The film kind of gets stronger and stronger as it goes on. We can kind of all relate to being there. I didn't find it so scary as much as just trying my best to endure as the couple were doing. A very tough situation to be in. There's going to be some loses.
It's the way of nature. The way of the ocean. Oceans only really work in controlled doses.
I like the ending. I like the way it ended. It just resolved itself.
Follow Ups:
Did you notice that they were named Kintner, the same name of the boy killed by the shark in "Jaws"?
that type of detail is way, way, over my head.A simple movie like this can make an impression that sticks.
