I saw this in 1999 at the University of Chicago. The film was shown on 6 10-minute reels. The film was accompanied by a dadaist trio using home-made instruments. One of the best movie experiences ever.
A few years ago, I saw a clip on PBS, and the sound track was horrible 70's electroica.
What type of music is on the DVD?

I'm afraid I don't know...my copy is on laserdisc and uses classical-sounding music on the soundtrack. It certainly is not anything like what you heard! Whoever came up with "a dadaist trio using home-made instruments" was inspired! I would have loved to have heard that!
