  I vote the scene were Basil Fawlty is trying to cheer up the German guests (after having made numerous gaffes by mentioning the war, and making them cry) by doing a Hitler impersonation (complete with goose step) as the BEST COMEDY MOMENT OF ALL TIME.

  German: "Would you please stop mentioning the war"
  Fawlty: "You started it"
  German: "No we did not"
  Fawlty: "Yes you did - you invaded Poland"
