Because of the posts below on this I watched the original Japanese version last night. I had forgotten what a charming and gently entertaining film it is. Why oh why would anyone see the need for a remake?

Hollywood isn't about originality or telling good stories. It is a BUSINESS interested in making money.
They would show a turd yelling at people passing by if people paid to see it.
