Quite an underrated movie, but an excellent and solid one, hightly recommended.Lloys is simply brilliant and too bad she has not been used more.
The movie itself is a great mix of comedy and drama... like acid and sugar in good wine.

I completely agree; it's quite criminally overlooked and is a sheer joy. It's a shame that writer/director David Leland has never come close to producing anything of comparable value, though he has written some fine films directed by the late Alan Clarke.
