Perhaps it loses a little steam at the very end but I find it's worn quite well. Reilly's a longer series than Smiley, and quite a different kettle of fish - more an adventure series with interlocking, self-contained episodes rather than one continuous story. The excellent adaptation of LeCarre's acclaimed book is really quite different from the original series Ace of Spies.

"Reilly" is where I fell in love with Sam Neill forever.
