...watched this DVD last night - after the mediocre reviews I wasn't looking forward to it - but we were pleasantly surprised. Both Travolta and Scarlett do a great job and the story is compelling along with the New Orleans backdrops. Recommended.

Unfortunately, I do not concur. (I found Travolta's "characterization" an ancient, overblown stereotype.) Do you really think there's people running around that act and talk like him in NOLA? Yeah, the white trash predicament is believable but Travolta was not. I know one or two others here liked it but I found it unbearable and didn't quite make it to the end. Not even Scarlett's t-shirts could make me finish. 8^)
