That is one of the few movies I bought on VHS rather than wait for a dvd to come out. Ozu did a great job of portraying people caught in the generation gap and in the middle of changing social values. Ozu seemed rather fond of using Chishu Ryu in his films and I can see why... he plays a marvelous old man.
