Vic wrote about this one back in 2002. {http://db.audioasylum.com/cgi/m.mpl?forum=films&n=14639&highlight=La+Fille+sur+le+Pont&r=&session=}
Worth watching, especially for the wonderful performances of Vanessa Paradise (French 'little-girl' pop star turned actress now married to Johnny Depp)who reminds me of a young Jeanne Moreau and Daniel Auteil as the knife thrower who picks up partners who're about to commit suicide on bridges.
In black & white.
A lovely fairy tale as Vic said.
Follow Ups:
I have it on VHS but never found it on DVD (a year ago, that is). Are you sure about the actress and Depp? I saw a flash of Depp and his wife and she didn't appear to be the same. Could be wrong.This plot came straight out of a dream. Such unlikeliness in story and characters. Very different. I enjoyed it.
..I'm sure.
I think they make a lovely (naive) couple.
