Although it isn't as "good" and respected as "The Haunting" - I prefer "The Legend Of Hell House" as a rainy day popcorn movie. The Richard Matheson screenplay is spooky and eventful.
Best of all ... Roddy McDowall's character (who is haunted by the memory of his past)has a unforgettable crazed wide eyed expression of dread during the entire film. He also speaks his lines like his life depends on his every syllable!
