Just like reading a great novel
Just when I get disgusted with the general quality of movies, something like this comes along.
Dench was wonderful, but Cate in some ways was even better in her part.
Both were just marvelous.

Blanchett's character, an art teacher in a school sleeps with a fifteen year old student and Denchs sees them and holds it over Blanchett's head until the whole things explodes for our viewing pleasure...
almost a comedy - Cate's character was a gullible free spirit and Judi Dench was an authority figure who was pretty creepy but neither in a heavy handed way. I liked Dench's narration, there were some witty comments. Overall an enjoyable movie
