My favorite local video store finally closed the other day. Fallen victim to Netflix. I had faithfully used that store for 20+ years until three years ago when I started Netflix. Nine months ago they downsized to another location, threw out all VHS, and limit shelf selections to New Releases only. They entered into a Netflix-type arrangement with an independent distributor and still that didn't save them. End of an era.
