Think they use logo in their manual as a guide to the speakers orientation. Basically is to align acoustic batting/fabric to the back wall annd to orient the top tweeter. It was on different sides to help identify left and right speaker also.
I'm certain that most experienced users could figure out but as being "unusual , not like other speakers" Omni for many owners it would be a new experience without some guides to help.
Might ask again with the resurrected company.
