I have no idea why this movie was so highly rated. Probably because it was in a BET category, ridiculously racists and badly acted/directed like most/all movies from minority directors.
The situation resembles the kids artworks. Whatever monstrosity your kid produces it has to be hailed as a masterwork in order of not discouraging the kid. The same principle is applied to minority directors productions and in general. Their effort has to be absolutely cherished no matter what kind of excrement they produce be it Bleak panther or get out sort of crap.
