I always like these types where I can't quite suck it all in during one sitting. This is a good Middle East spy/manipulator story starring Diane Kruger as an Israeli plant inside of Iran, posing as an English teacher. A straight white chick from elsewhere, not seen as Israeli, she is a great asset for the Moussad. She is gradually worked into increasingly more dangerous jobs, working her way up from an observer, to taking on an Iranian lover, to moving his company into accepting faulty nuclear plant parts, etc, etc.
She eventually resents how she has been used, and starts to figure how to extract herself from the clutches. A lot of emotion is spent on the relationships, so it is surprising to realize just how cold-blooded it all is.
There is little soundtrack to cue viewers, and the dialogue is insider talk, half is Farsi and Israeli, with subtitles, so you will have to be sharp to see the intricacies in this one. Especially because this film can be a little sluggish at times, and can lull you into distraction. There are several revelatory twists near the end that zip right past if you blink.
Well worth the time if you like spycraft. This one is great at showing that anybody can be turned. Just find the right lever and pull the handle.
