to the 1984 film.
This comparison review could also be a general comparison of 1980s films and structure versus current films - especially in terms of comedic timing.
I usually find Mr. Plinkett's reviews vastly more entertaining than the films he skewers but he does offer a lot of good specific examples as to why things suck - and he even has some of his own edits here to show why his version of a scene would work versus the pure slop that the 2016 Ghostbusters put up. Even if you didn't care for the original as I know some here hate any movie that did well at the box office or came from Hollywood on sheer principal - when looking at individual scenes it does seem a growing trend that modern films continually try to put as much slop on the screen at the highest possible pace for an audience that requires car keys jangled in front of their face to be entertained.
I didn't see the 2016 film and after seeing this review - man I dodged a bullet.
