All the other "Oscar contenders" for best film we saw (most) were overall more enjoyable and easily as well done.

Didn't think the opportunistic Kim clan were particularly likable scoundrels and that the the haves/have nots class distinctions were very muddled.

There was as much Blake Edwards' silliness as Scorsese somberness (and minutes tick, tick, ticking...).

This was a "typical" well-done SK film. Nothing so special. I was forced to see it in IMAX which is overkill for this type of film. If 'Parasite' got best picture, then SK should get it every year.

I think the Academy didn't want to give BP to Tarintino or Joker.
