The Academy was diluted with hundreds of new members who have forever changed it into a political statement. That 'Parasite' won is an anomaly. I think it was a lesser of the evils that year.
In 2012, 'The Artist' won five Oscars despite being a French film. Best Picture, Best Actor (Dujardin), and it was silent in B&W with subtitles. Even the most robust snobs should love it.
I stop watching years ago when overpaid Borderlines started making statements about the world they know little about.
