It has frustrated me being a American and not understanding the slang and torture of words. What they called The King's English or high English is absent.
That is less prevalent in this one. He does seem to love their criminal element.

Some of those slang expressions are probably from a local group of people.
Yes it's a bit to swallow and I like to have subtitles on. Even then, I have to pause to figure out what they were intending to say. I had to do that on Sexy Beast. The criminal element has some pretty unusial language of its own.Some I like are:
'stool pidgeon'
'a little birdy told me'I prefer Richie to Tarantino.
'im not a rat'
'sent up a kite', and lots on squealers
