I too was horrified, not only at the girls that were abused, but that he was able to get so many powerful people in his pocket and got away with it for so long.

Yes, he had plenty of rich and powerful friends that should be locked up, but Epstein clearly had extraordinary abilities of persuasion and manipulation that he used to exploit everybody around him with no compunction at all, and elevated him into a major league criminal.
