I wasn't crazy about Mean Streets, but I think that he was at a peak when he did Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, King of Comedy, and The Last Temptation of Christ. Before and since then I haven't been nearly as impressed.

in Last Temptation... for consistency if nothing else. It's fun to imagine what some of the scenes would have been like. Hell, throw Pesci in there, too!
